CGOA's Audience COVID-19 Protocols for Events

After careful consideration, and a considerable review of current practices among performing arts organizations nationwide, and of course keeping in mind Oregon's restrictions and recommendations, the CGOA Board of Directors has voted to implement audience protocols for the coming season. 

For any event indoors, audiences will need to show proof of completed vaccinations or a negative COVID-19 test from within 48 prior to the event. This applies to audience members of all ages. Audiences will also need to wear masks and practice social distancing.

Of course, venues like the school district facilities might have stricter requirements and these will supersede CGOA's protocols. 

For outdoor events (like the upcoming concert at Hood River Valley Christian Church) we will only be requiring masks and social distancing at this time. 

The same protocols for vaccination or proof of negative test also apply to our volunteers, ensemble members and Board in any in-person meetings or events.

We hope that you will understand and support these measures. Although inconvenient, they are essential to keeping our CGOA community safe as well as showing support for our over-extended health care system in our community and state.
